Benson and the Leperchaun

When Benson's mom is out for the day and Leprechaun comes to cause mischief. Once inside the Leprechaun spies a golden toaster and just has to lay his greedy little paws on it. Benson picks up a hammer lying on his dad's workbench and sets about chasing the greedy little green man down.
Assist Benson, who seems to have unlimited lives, on his journey through the levels the leprechaun has set up in his wake.
Mario Style platformer. Basic controls are the arrow keys.Only someone with real skill will not lose a single life. Willing to continue improvement on the product if comments and ideas are provided.

Is jump strength too low or am I doing it wrong?
Hold shift to run and that increases jump strength.
Hi. I played you're game a bit. Just wanted to say good job it is a very nice game. If you don't mind me asking what game engine did you use?.
This was done in game maker several years ago. I haven't done a lot recently but I am thinking about making a part 2 or revisiting this one.
